Our Mission

Helping those who

brave the storm

to improve our world.

Storm Warriors International (SWI) is a 501c3 organization dedicated to supporting organizations and companies with artistic, scientific, and humanitarian missions. We offer donated and sliding scale media production services so that organizations can share their stories to focus ideas, mobilize resources, elevate discussions, inspire planning, and instigate change.

How we do it

We are in a time of intense environmental, financial, cultural and humanitarian stress. With everyone’s belts being tightened, many organizations do not have the capacity or budget to create content that expands the reach of their mission in a media-driven world.

Every year, SWI gifts a limited number of nonprofit organizations with free media production services to help further their mission, while other nonprofits and businesses are offered discounted production services based on a sliding scale. In addition, we also offer online educational courses, workshops, and consultation services. All funding received by SWI, is used to gift media production services and sliding scale discounts, and is also applied to offset operational costs.

We have aided organizations
in New England, India, Vietnam and Uganda in the following sectors:

Addiction Recovery
Childhood Hunger
Child Services
Community Services
Domestic Violence
Emergency Medical Supplies

Environment
Homelessness
Human Trafficking
Immigration
Veterans
Voluntourism

SUPPORT OUR MISSION

Our mission depends on your donations to provide discounted and free services to organizations and businesses in need.

Our Story

Founder, Jon Nappa

SWI is part of a growing global community of people who care about others and who actively engage in helping real people in real need. The original term "storm warriors" was an ancient mariner's term describing those who got into lifeboats and entered stormy seas to rescue those in shipwrecks. Today, it is a modern metaphor describing people who are willing to deploy their gifts, talents, and resources to help others..

SWI was founded in 2009 by the accomplished Jon Nappa, who continues to work in the television and motion picture industry. SWI has since gifted 21 humanitarian organizations in 14 sectors around the world since its inception.

In 2020, the torch was carried by Executive Director (and long-time Storm Warrior) Brian Goding, whose skill and insight brought our production ability to a new level. Though COVID certainly impacted our organization's ability to operate, we continue on in 2024 with new leadership. Executive Director Dean Merrill shares the same values as his predecessors and looks ahead with a focus on expanding SWI's reach and ability to help others.
